The CityMD Women's Racing team has been an Amatuer and Domestic Elite Team since forming in January of 2014. The team has competed in many national and international level races over the course of the past two seasons including the 2014 edition of the Philly Parx Casino Cycling Classic and the USA Crit Series Championships. In 2015 team members raced in a total of 55 races throughout the season across 11 different states, primarily in the Northeast Region but as far as Missouri and California. We train primarily in and around New York City, including reguarly in Central Park, a park visited by 35 million people annually.
Spanning the past two seasons, the team has collectively acheived many notable results including 36 podiums and 123 top 10 placings! In 2015, the CityMD team received the highest awards in the NYC cycling scene by winning the Overall Women's Team Cup, Overall Individual Sprint and Jim Boyd Cups as part of the CRCA season long competitions. Among team members returning for the 2016 season, two members are ranked in the top 25 Category 2 road racers in the country by USACycling, 3 members are ranked in the top 10 Category 2 crit racers in the state of NY, and 1 member is ranked top 5 Category 3 crit racers in the state. The team has collectively served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for the Century Road Club Association, the largest cycling club in NY. We look forward to continuing in 2016 with a rigorous schedule of racing both at the local and national level including Central Park races, Criteriums and Stage races in the Northeast, and several Pro Road Tour (PRT) Calendar races
